went swimming last fri nite after a self-invite to Siti's (twiny) aquarius pool. :) It was the mums and the daughters swimmming a.k.a bonding/gossiping nite out by the pool. of course, half of the time, adina was hugging on to me and we were stuck in the baby pool for quite some time. den we moved on to the adult pool which adina has called the mama pool. n of course, it wouldn't be sah if we didn't go down the slide. all 5 of us, like some big babies. hehe. Siti lost one of her lens coz of adina's splashing( wic adina recalls with guilt. hehe. padan muka!) and after swimming, we had our bath, and sat on the swing outside talking away while the kids fed on nuggets, hot dogs and milo and played shoppingx2 all the way till 1a.m. me and adina had an exhausting but a great time. dat muffins kept saying she wanted to sleep at mummy siti house (& apologies to the original mummy siti. out of confusion to the common name 'siti', adina has also called her supposed Tante Siti, her mummy siti. Minta maaf ye. if its any consolation, she remembers u as mummy siti uncle shah. hehe) So... the fulfilling nite out had to have some upsetting element to it and as predited, it came in the form of my mother.
"Ajar anak balik sampai pukul 1 pagi! What are you trying to teach your daughter?!" well.. wats new. I have always been the target. but i'm very sure i'm not fabricating stories when i say there were several occasions too when my parents got carried away at their friend' s plc till late at night or even 1 a.m. while we kids occupied ourselves (especially during raya). Though i really don see anything wrong in that coz we were after all, still spending tym as a family, if i cld rewind tym,i'ld probably throw the same question back at her: What kind of values would she be teaching me then?
