under d weather

today's a wednesday. was absent from school yesterday n today. missed a lot of important periods today. feel horrible. both from d flu n from missing d lessons. :( d flu's not any better n i hope i don't pass them to my students wen i go back tmr coz their common test just nxt wk.
Dunman did well for d O levels but as expected, my dear principal was not very generous or quick with the thanking or show of gratitude. she just sent us a thk u e-mail 2day which was actually a by-d-way e-mail meant for other matters. we were in fact hoping for a half day or something coz the results was one of d best that Dunman had seen in many yrs n d teachers really worked their butts off last yr coz of previous yr's plunging results. on top of dat, last fri, we found out that dis yr's teacher's day celebration will be at one go in july with d youth day celebration. how 'appreciated' we really feel! dah lah last yr, we had no tchr's day celebration. this yr oso. n the following yrs to come too i suppose. dat one day wen we get thanked for our efforts n feel great to be a teacher, it has to be forgotten. n knowing d kids, they'll probably be too occupied wif youth day to bother much abt teacher's day. oh, wat a 'gratifying' career i have here.
