long tym since i updated huh.kaleidoscope went by successfully. teachers' day was fun. d holidays came n d holidays went by. but something happened which made it one that i wld not forget so easily. last sat nite , 10 sep, we went to mustaffa ctr to get adina's party bag stuff for her bday. still not wanting to go hm yet,decided to go for a drink at newton. my dear fiance' as usual never said no though it was already 11+.
Was happily talking away wif an and adina at the back was making up her own stories pretending to read. but the shock which came wen we were just abt to turn in to the newton carpark, didn't even have tym to register in my mind. in front of us was a huge ntuc delivery lorry heading towards our car. we cldn't swerve to the left as der were taxis lined along d road. d bang happened so fast n d next thing i know, adina was sreaming and crying n i quickly rushed out to get her but the door was jammed. d lorry had ran off n an had pulled adina to the front. she was bleeding n an's shirt was covered with her blood. some good samaritans had chased after d lorry driver. n pple had gathered ard. d ambulance was called n me and adina headed to KK hospital. Alhamdullillah, both adina n an was ok. when An had settled stuff with the police, he came down to KK.
When hesaw Adina,he hugged her n i saw his eyes all watery, i realised how lucky adina and i are. He said that when he saw the lorry, d first thing he thought of was adina.If anything has to happen, let it happen to him and not me or adina. Thank you Allah, for blessing me with such love.
Adina has got cuts on her legs, hands n one deeper one on top of her eyebrow coz the window broke and d glass shattered in her face. He has got a cut on his head. I'm ok. Just thankful that it could have been worse but it wasn't.I could have lost my daughter n with that my reason for living, but i didn't. I could have lost d man who treats my duaghter as if his blood flows in hers and who puts me ona pedestal with his selfless love, but Alhandullillah, I didn't. Thank you Allah.
So what if the car just came out of wrkshop for just 2 weeks. So what. I have something worth so much more than a 56K orange car. I have the people I love.
